I blinked and our baby turned 9. I reminisce a lot about his birth.  It was such a pivotal moment in my life.  It was THE pivotal moment in my life.  There is pre-Jackson and post-Jackson and those two worlds are vastly different. And I wouldn’t change a single, solitary  moment along the way.

Happy birthday Jackson James. At 9 years of age I find you to be as intelligent, interesting, and genuine as any adult I could come across. I know your life has purpose and meaning, and that there are big journeys ahead for you.

To celebrate his big day we all went fishing at Chatfield Reservoir.  The boys’ Grandpa moved out this way about 2 months ago and has been so anxious to take them fishing. Nana and I packed yummy snacks, including delicious pink lemonade cupcakes (my mother in law is amazing!!) and we spent the morning waiting for the fish to bite. They didn’t. But it was still a perfect way to celebrate the day and our family.  I’m fortunate to have married into such a loving family, and I treasure that our boys get to have such a close relationship with their grandparents.
