Ella’s parents messaged me a unique request for their daughter’s newborn portraits — they adore nature and being outdoors, and they absolutely love hanging out in their hammock together. Could we somehow incorporate a hammock into baby girl’s newborn session? Yes! I’ve seen other hammock images online with newborns but really wanted to try something new for their session. I found this beautiful branch and immediately I knew what we’d try. Please note, this image is a composite – that means the image is taken in several frames and then put together in Photoshop. Baby was never (ever!) hanging solo from anything. In fact, check the bottom of this post to see how it’s done! The rest of their gallery was just as focused on their love of each other and the great outdoors. But let’s be frank, it’s all focused on their greatest new love of all… Ella!
