When I was a little girl my mom’s go-to response when my sisters and I were “bored” was “Go play dress up!” We had a beautiful dress up wardrobe to choose from – my mom’s old dresses! Mom’s dad owned a dress shop so there were beautiful dress up clothes for us to choose from. The wardrobe even included some gorgeous 1950’s tulle prom dresses that I so wish I still had because I would totally wear them even if it was just while I cleaned my house or picked up my kids from school – I still love playing dress up!
Three years ago I started offering a special Dress Up Daydreams mini-session for little girls to get to play dress up in a special dress of mom’s – usually her wedding gown. It has become a special day for moms and daughters to get to spend some fun time together being fancy and sparkly and bejeweled. The final result is a timeless keepsake that both mom and daughter will treasure .
I love love love capturing this special day at my Castle Rock studio. Here’s a sneak peek at a few of my favorite images from the day!
Special thanks to Smallcakes for the amazing cupcakes that every little girl got to take home with her to put under her pillow for promised sweet dreams…or just to devour!
Love love love these, it gives you a glimpse of how special my wedding day was to me and how beautiful I felt, when I see how special and beautiful my baby girl feels wearing my gown! Great day to reminisce
