The latest addition to my photography location recommendations is Metzler Family Open Space – Castle Rock. With sweeping views, wandering paths, and beautiful wildflowers and vegetation, the land along Founders Parkway and Crowfoot Valley Road is truly a treasure. This location is perfect for families with young children who enjoy running and playing, or high school seniors seeking a rustic, rural vibe. The old Metzler Family homestead on the property is a fun and unique backdrop for photos (although note that for conservation purposes, the homestead itself is not accessible).
