The Phillip S. Miller Park (also referred to as “The Mac”) in Castle Rock is a very family-friendly portrait spot located right in Castle Rock. While the park itself is quite large and commercial, there is a beautiful area I use for portrait sessions towards the back of the park near the Millhouse and the Amphitheater. This park is a great blend of nature and contemporary, with grasses, wildflowers, and trails, as well as the contemporary look of the Millhouse structure with its wood and metal barn doors, landscaped pond, and stone walls. The amphitheater makes for a very cool architectural backdrop as well. This is an ideal spot for families, maternity, or senior portraits.
