It’s been quite the summer around here! My family and I have been on the go since school let out with camps, sports, friend hang outs, paddle boarding, and traveling! I ran my first half marathon ever this summer in Seattle – what a journey! Next to childbirth, that was the hardest and most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. We traveled to Texas to see my extended family which is always a summer favorite. My sweet dad fell ill while we were there and is still recovering, but I’m so grateful I was there during that time. If you can send some extra healing out to the universe for him, I’d be so grateful. I also snuck in a solo trip to Santa Fe with my sisters for our first ever sisters-only weekend and I fell in love with that city’s food and culture. The trip had an ulterior motive as we adopted a rescue dog named Miles whom my younger sister had been fostering. Miles is is a 7 year old Yorkie and made our family so happy and so complete. I’ve shared a picture of him below. Whew. I have also had the pleasure of photographing so many sweet babies, milestone sessions, families, and cake-smashes! I love every minute of it.
