A few months ago a friend of mine posted a snapshot on facebook of her daughter playing dress up in her wedding gown. I. about. died. Having two boys the likelihood that my own wedding gown will see the light of day ever again is pretty small. And then I sort of started mulling over the idea of a portrait session where little girl’s could wear their mama’s wedding gowns, very ethereal and light and airy with a touch of vintage whimsy. The idea became a reality when I launched the first annual “Dress Up Daydreams” portrait session day earlier this year! Typically my studio sessions take place upstairs in a room in my house that’s been full converted; however, for this one I envisioned something more open and airier and thus I converted a downstairs formal living area into the exact vision I had. As the little girls began arriving, filling our home studio with lots of sweet giggles, pink cheeks and lacy tulle, my vision was complete. It was such a fun and delightful day, I can hardly wait to do it again next year! Thank you to each of the little ones who joined us for the sessions. It was a delightful, girly day!
I love the one with Lily and the tulle around her face! Beautiful!
